Description:
This is a DC-to-DC power converter that steps up voltage from its input connections to its output connections. This device accepts input voltage from 3V to 32V DC. It can output anywhere from 5V to 35V DC. It can handle a maximum current of 3 Amps and delivers a maximum efficiency of 94%. The built in potentiometer (pot) allows adjustment of the output voltage to the exact desired level. The heart of this device is the XL6009 current mode, DC-DC converter IC. The XL6009 is a compact IC intended for small, relatively low power applications. The XL6009 includes a built in N-channel power MOSFET and fixed frequency oscillator. It’s current-mode architecture produces stable operation over a wide range of supply and output voltages. The XL6009 regulator is a special design which works well for portable electronic equipment applications.
